The Vlad Miller Quartet, formed in 2001, plays Vladimir's own contemporary compositions plus original arrangements of the jazz standards.

Based in London, the quartet’s engagements have included Birmingham Jazz Festival, Derby Jazz, Pizza On The Park, Knightsbridge, Hammersmith Palais, British International Film Awards, a residency at Kings Head theatre in Islington, London, Pontypool jazz festival and Wirksworth music festival. Last year they were awarded a subsidy from jazz services and consequently toured, performing in many prestigious venues in England and Wales.

In June 2005 they released ‘Between Two Storms’, a CD on the label 33 Records.

Such is Life

John Sanderson played in backing bands for Wilson Pickett, Irma Thomas, Martha Reeves, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Patti La Belle during the 'Sixties. He worked alongside Steve Beresford, David Toop, Lyn Dobson, Mike Osborne, in the Free Jazz scene at the Little Theatre during the early 'Seventies.

John won the GLAA Young Jazz Musician of the Year award with the jazz-rock outfit, Swift. He toured extensively in Britain taking in festivals such as Bracknell, Edinburgh, Belfast. Over the years he has played in ensembles with Don Rendell, Don Weller, Bruce Turner, Olaf Vas, etc. Recent work includes working on a recording with Jon Hiseman.

Leslee Booth became a professional musician in 1982 after studying at ‘The Musicians Institute’ in Los Angeles. The Madras-born bassist’s subtle Indian nuances have lent support to some of the best American jazz names such as the legendary singer Billy Eckstine, with whom he toured extentively in the British Isles. He has also collaborated with Gloria Gaynor, Freda Payne, George Williams and Beatrice Reading. He currently plays a six-string contra-bass. He is also a important member of the guitar based ‘Branco Stoysin Trio’, who perform regularly on the British jazz circuit scene.

David Rohoman was born in Guyana, South America. Disabled at birth, he took up drums to exercise his legs. On moving to London he began playing in various rock bands where he was spotted by Ian Dury, who persuaded him to join The Kilburns. It was the jazz played by them, in particular by sax player David Payne, which led David to explore jazz improvisation. Ever since, he has remained on the jazz circuit, performing with some of Britain's finest musicians including Jim Mullen, Dave Newton, Django Bates and Mornington Locket.
